
It is the second time we have been awarded the highly sought-after ‘Agency of the Year’ title at these awards, and comes at an extra special time as SLG marks its 30th anniversary.
The Construction Marketing Awards are universally recognised as a unique and highly regarded measure of excellence in construction marketing. Winners were announced at a glittering gala dinner attended by over 250 guests in Portman Square, London, on 29 November 2011.
The ‘Highly Commended’ award for the Best Campaign over £25,000 was in recognition of a broad-reaching awareness campaign SLG delivered for client Polypipe Civils, a leading UK manufacturer of below ground drainage, sewer, cable protection products and water management solutions.
Tasked with highlighting the unique features of Polypipe’s new Ridgistorm-XL large diameter pipe among the trade media and its customer base, the creative teams at SLG came up with a winning formula, ‘The Polypipe Run’, an intensive six month campaign which kicked off with a Mini being driven through the pipe to illustrate its dimensions.
Speaking after the ceremony, SLG’s Joint Managing Director Julie Malone, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to win these awards and it is all the more special given we have just marked SLG’s 30th anniversary.
“The Construction Marketing Awards are one of the highlights of the year and these wins are testament to the superb combined efforts of our talented teams and market-leading clients.
