SLG Marketing, the Manchester-based specialist B2B marketing communications agency, has provided its creative branding and digital services for Horizon Life Training, a charity set-up to help people rejoin their local community from residential rehabilitation schemes.
“One of our clients has close links with the charity and asked us to help establish an identity for the organisation and promote the fantastic work they undertake,” comments SLG’s joint managing director Julie Malone. “We worked with the Horizon Life team to establish a brand identity that closely reflects the charity’s personality and character and to express the warm, open nature of everyone involved.”
SLG developed the branding and identity for Horizon Life, alongside a new website and additional fundraising support for the charity’s many events. The agency’s latest project has also seen its digital team produce video testimonials of several of Horizon Life’s success stories for inclusion in the website – available at www.horizonlifetraining.org.uk.
Horizon Life teaches skills and trades to help individuals recovering from drug and alcohol addiction at its farm in North Yorkshire. “Our aim is to get people back on their feet by teaching practical skills such as farming, joinery and building that will help them reintegrate with their local communities,” explains Brian Hendlesby, chief operations officer at Horizon Life Training. “We’re delighted with the help SLG have provided and the team has always approached the work we undertake with great sensitivity.
“The creative and identity that SLG have developed really captures and represents what we stand for as an organisation.”
“Whilst the project with Horizon Life has represented a stark contrast to our usual client portfolio, it has been a refreshing experience to work closely with a completely different kind of client,” adds Julie. “The work that Horizon Life undertake is very humbling and it can be easy for many businesses not to get involved emotionally, but we’re very proud to work with Brian and his dedicated team and help out wherever we can.
