Manchester-based B2B marketing communications agency SLG Marketing has been crowned ‘Agency of the Year’ at the 2008 Construction Marketing Awards. In addition to scooping the ‘Agency of the Year’ award, SLG also received strong commendation in the ‘Best Use of Advertising’ category for its ‘Challenging Tradition’ campaign for plastic pipe manufacturer, Polypipe Terrain.
The award marks the culmination of another successful year for SLG which began with the agency winning the ‘Best Direct and Promotional Strategy’ award at the SWOT Awards earlier in the year. This was followed by three shortlisted entries and two subsequent commendations at the 2008 B2B Marketing Awards, before SLG were nominated for five awards at the recent Construction Marketing Awards.
SLG’s Marketing Services Director, Mark Gill was delighted to collect the ‘Agency of the Year’ award and commented: “We’ve produced excellent work this year and we’re very proud of our growth and performance within a tough market. Winning ‘Agency of the Year’ is a fantastic recognition of the team’s hard work and commitment to delivering creative campaigns that have added value to our clients and returned excellent results. We’ve continually demonstrated our ability to produce creative, dynamic and market-leading campaigns. To have been shortlisted in so many categories across different awards, and to collect the top award in our specialist area, has finished off a great year for the agency.”
